I thank you (mahalo nui loa), my on-line Ohana (family) for your prayers. They have meant so much to me and my family.
My dad is home and, after they put a "cath" up his leg and into his heart to have a look-see it was determined (based also upon enzyme tests etc.) that he did NOT have an heart attack. What he does have is one or two things: a virus and/or he needs a change in his medicine dosage for his blood pressure.
We are all delighted.
However, I still need to fly home. My husband, thankfully, understands. Family is complicated and some things need to be worked out with all three of the children present. It's time to have our family figure out what mum and dad want "in the event of" etc.. My sister needs me there . . . because, she's a single mum and working her tail off to make ends meet and, she can do it all, but she's asking, in not so many words, "why should I? I need you." So, I'll be going.
You'll know when. I can't keep my mouth shut about that.at.all!

Your sister is lucky to have you.
It will be good to see your family. I imagine it has been awhile.
Glad to hear your dad is okay.
You are a good sister and family member. We've had similar issues. My sister in WA could not be here often when our parents' long diseases were going on. If you call them often, send some flowers when you can't be home..etc. Those things are so appreciated. :) Glad your dad is better. God bless.
I wish you were my sister!
Kissteen - I haven't been to WA to visit (well, I was there briefly changing planes twice in Oct. last year) since 2004. My parents came out to see us in MD ONCE after that, but I reckon I haven't seen them since 2006. Same for my brother. It's been way too long.
Our Family - Love ya!
Suzanne - (and to Kissy, this same remark) I'm lucky that my sister is so good. Suz, I'll keep in mind those token gifts of appreciation. It does mean a lot when you're thanked for doing the difficult tasks.
Angela - Aren't you sweet! Well, we are sisters in Christ and those are some really awesome sisters!!!
