I won the Priests CD at Barbara's blog! I'm so thrilled! One of my dearest friends (Bev & Bernie) got me the first Priests CD for Christmas one year . . . oh, and I love it! I'm very thankful to Mother Mary's guiding hand!
I went to lunch with my husband on Saturday. He came to me and said, "I'm bored." Folks, that man never ever says he's bored. So, we hopped in the van and left the kids behind and took a little adventure. We went to Dole to get pulled pork and Dole Whip (pineapple sherbet soft serve). On the way out, I bought a (coconut shell?) handmade in HI sea turtle (honu) ornament that reads "Hawaii 2011". It's about three inches long, one and a half inches wide w/ artists information on the bottom (a sticker you can remove). It's retail value is $18. You wonder why I bought it perhaps? Why am I telling you the cost? Because . . . sight unseen, do you want a chance to win it?
(Hopefully I'll have pulled my head out of the clouds long enough to get a picture uploaded later)
If you want a chance to win it, leave your name and contact email. Also, if you've been to HI what was it you liked best? If you haven't been here, what do you think you'd like best about coming here?
Aloha, and good luck!
I'll announce the winner on Friday, February (already?!?!) 4th!

Of course I wanna win it! Congrats on your win of the CD. I bet it's a good one. I was fortunate enough to go to Hawaii to visit with one of my bestest longtime navy friends evah (besides you!). I have to say Eternity Beach was my favorite thing. I loved sitting there on that little piece of beach with the tourists up top watching the blowhole go off every now and then and listening to the waves crash in the the little cove. Private and quiet, despite all the tourists up top. It's called Eternity beach because it's where they filmed the beach Kiss scene between Deborah Kerr and Burt Lancaster in From Here to Eternity. The real name is Halona Cove. We spent most days there during my 2 weeks. Loved it.
My favorite part of HI was the flowers. They were absolutely gorgeous and sooo fragrant. Of course, I enjoyed the fresh pineapple, Mai Tai's and macadamia nuts, too, but the flowers are what I remember most vividly.
Have a great Tuesday!
Congrats on your win!!
If I ever get a chance to put my tootsies on a beach in Hawaii I would soak up the rays and hit the water. Sharks or no sharks I would be a beach bum.
I think my favorite parts of Hawaii were the beaches, the flowers, and the warmth. Such a lovely, lovely place. I would love to win! You can email me through my blog:-)
