What is hot is this country. Sweltering. Unforgiving. HOT! I am praying for everyone to stay alive - the elderly and young are really susceptible to dying in this kind of heat. You all know I live in Hawaii, but it's not nearly as unbearably hot as the rest of the country. Not even. I suffer in 85 degrees with the sweat trickling down my back and front like a waterfall. I can't imagine the heat y'all are suffering.
I nicked this lovely picture from Easter's blog. Rachel hasn't risen out of bed yet to upload the ones she took with her toy. Thanks, Easter! (right to left: Fr. Daren Zehnle, me, Easter, and Esther). I love to meet up with blogger friends in real life. I have to ponder at this moment just how blessed I am! This was the first time I was able to meet Father Daren (he frequents the island from time to time) and Esther. Easter and I have met a few times (and I just love her!!!) . . . Now I can love Father and Esther just as much, too! Oh, I did before! Trust me. Wonderful people! We hope to host Father in our humble home Sunday afternoon. He will bless our home and have supper with us. I'll get a pie from Anne Miller's (I can bake an apple pie, but theirs is better; apple pie is all I can do as far as pies are concerned). We did discuss popping in to AM for pies but I think it was getting late (almost 10pm) when we left Bravo's. I know this is terrible of me, but I asked him to come Sunday afternoon rather than tomorrow to "buy more time" to get my house in order. I know y'all understand that. But, no worries. We'll (me and the kids, yes the kids!!!) are going to whip this ship into shape today. In case plans change and tomorrow is the only day he can come - I want to be ready!
I remember telling Father that I wasn't too certain that I wanted to link my blog up to Facebook. I have this human weakness about exposing myself too much to those I already know in real life. It makes absolute zero sense. I cannot live in a bubble assuming I'm protecting myself from criticisms of others. I either believe what I write here or I do not. Well, I do. And, I actually OWE those I know the real me. Right? So, some how I'll try and link this up (not sure how, but we'll all know if I get it right). Besides, I cannot help it if I might make some people uncomfortable. Some people make me uncomfortable, but I don't love them any less.
Well, I need to roll up my sleeves and get busy around here. The Princess of Procrastination needs to get moving!

I think I heard about Tyler's book somewhere. I think it was in the book where he reveals taking his then-girlfriend-later-wife for an abortion. If I remember correctly he had the decency (maybe you would call it something else) to be remorseful over the murder of their child. I have no interest in him at all but it's a shame his book was so distasteful.
I have no plans to come to Hawaii any time soon but certainly hope we can hook up someday, sweet lady. Before, that is, we meet on the other side of the pearly gates. I have hope! ;-)
I apologize for any typos. I'm commenting with my iPhone!
If that is the case, I didn't get that far into the book to learn about that. I'm glad he's remorseful of that. However, what I failed to post about it as well is that he kept calling God "Her" and that just bothers me on all kinds of levels. He is 'spiritual' (as is everyone) but he's a bit whacked.
I would love to meet you on this side as well, lovely lady. I have hope for it as well!
I hope to make typos on my iPhone (when I get it) one day, too. ;)
Love the photo, you look beautiful!!!
I read a quote from his book in some magazine, got what you wrote from that little quote. I think he's come full circle and changed a lot in his life, but he's still a little weird.
You do look beautiful! Use networked blogs on FB...it's pretty user friendly. I do hope we can meet IRL one day!
I have a dream...I dream it all the time...that I can meet all of my special online friends one day. All at the same time...somewhere in the middle of the US for an entire weekend! That we could sit in our jammies eating popcorn and drinking coffee...just talking, laughing and praying together. I would love the chance to tell you all just how much you mean to me.
Anyway...sure wish I could have been there with you guys. You, Easter and Esther are some of my most favorite people!
Thanks for this post, Sarah! Love ya!
i think we have to go easy on poor steven tyler ONLY because ALL those drugs he took for years and years HAD to do something to his brain! HOWEVER, i agree, shame on him for publishing all that nasty stuff...we don't need to know all the details!
and i love what you said at the end of your post about not wanting people you know in-real-life to read the blog. i don't know why i feel the same. perhaps it is because sometimes i am not sure if anyone is reading...so it is sort of my thoughtful spot! it's like a release. (on the WORLD WIDE WEB. go figure, huh?)
hope to talk to you soon dear friend. i am still on pins and needles (no pun intended) and i will be until monday...
xo
Oh Sarah! You are one blessed lady! I would love to meet some of the blogging friends I've made! Yep, I'm jealous ;) The picture is great!
It's even hot way up here in NH. We hit 102 yesterday and it was humid too! My in-laws live down in Texas (the panhandle which is usually not quite as hot as the rest of Texas) and they have had 28straight days of triple digit temps according to Randy's mom. Talk about heat! Wow! Makes me glad that we chose to live in the Northeast rather than down south. I sweat heavily for some reason and like cool weather.
Love you too Sarah!!
Glad you finally got to meet Fr.D! You look ecstatic!
